Follow The Fast and the Furious news on IMDb

The Fast and Furious movies is about to get a new director. As covered in our last article and reported from several websites such as Dark Horizons and The Movie Blog, James Wan is expected to become the new director of The Fast and the Furious 7 movie due to be released next summer. The previous Fast and Furious movie director, Justin Lin, will hand over the torch to James Wan.

Justin Lin directed the past Fast and Furious movies - The Fast and the Furious: Tokyo Drift, Fast & Furious, Fast Five and the upcoming The Fast and the Furious 6. James Wan is a talented director with the movie skills to carry forward Justin Lin's complex Fast and Furious plot design.

Talking about a fast turnaround with The Fast and the Furious 6 coming out this May 24, 2013 and The Fast and the Furious 7 scheduled to possibly be released in July 2014. The Fast and the Furious 7 is an unorthodox role for James Wan, as his past movies are all about horror. His upcoming movies The Conjuring and Insidious Chapter 2 are scheduled to be released July 19 and September 13, respectively.

Nonetheless, James Wan understands movie directing. He can make the transition from horror filmmaker to action/heist movie guy. Len Wiseman started his direction in Underworld, and then moved right into Live Free or Die Hard. The science fiction to action transition resembles a horror to action/heist.

New Master of Horror movies James Wan rumored to be taking over as director for The Fast and the Furious 7

James Wan is best known for his past movie work in Saw and Insidious. If you know his backstory, James Wan actually attended the Royal Institute of Melbourne in Australia with screenwriter Leigh Whannell. The two friends are highly sought after Hollywood talents. Their horror movies Saw, Dead Silence, and Insidious paralyzed the horror movie world with a new kind of fear. The Movie Blog re-reported Dark Horizons' breaking news of James Wan's potentially claiming The Fast and the Furious 7 directing gig. IMDb.com updated The Fast and the Furious 7 movie section to confirm the talks.

James Wan has made a big name for himself with Saw and Insidious. His upcoming The Conjuring movie is awaiting box office release on July 19, 2012. His Insidious Chapter 2 is a highly anticipated astral projection movie opening this September 13, 2013. It will only get better once Universal Studios and James Wan seal the contract deal and move into the next chapter with Lucas Black possibly returning again (movie rumors). James Wan is having a Channing Tatum type of year.

IMDb listed James Wan as the next director of The Fast and the Furious 7, albeit the current status is reported as discussion talks amid Justin Lin's departure, the director and producer who put the racing movies back on the map after shooting the last four Fast and Furious movies. This is good news for all those involved in The Fast and the Furious movies, because James Wan is a top director that knows how to make good use of a production budget.

With over $100+ million at his disposal, The Fast and the Furious 7 will rank as one of the best Fast and Furious movies. Watch the Insidious movie to see how James Wan put $1.5 million to work.

James Wan is now entering a heist and action movie franchise all about mainstream, as over 28 million Facebook fans etched their name on the fan site. We predicted The Fast and the Furious 6 would outrace the box office in the opening weekend to make over $100 million, even with the blockbuster comedy Hangover Part III getting released the same weekend.

Fast and Furious movies have a huge fan following. We connect the hype to the plot design. Good story telling, likable characters, action, and popular shooting locations are what make Fast and Furious movies an adrenaline rush. We are not spoiling the movie to mention Dom's reaction to Letty. You will see this movie scene in 5 weeks.

James Wan is rumored to become the next The Fast and the Furious 7 director. Justin Lin directed and produced 4 Fast and Furious movies, which the past 2 and the upcoming The Fast and the Furious 7 will be recognized as blockbuster hits. Fast Five made a whopping $600+ million in the worldwide box office. How will James Wan's The Fast and the Furious 7 movie rank among the Fast and Furious movies?

We will have to wait and see how the contract talks turn out. Moreover, the box office performance of The Fast and the Furious 6 will dictate this. If Lucas Black returns again, expect The Fast and the Furious 7 to score a major box office win. The Fast and the Furious 6 is due out May 24, 2013.

Congratulations to James Wan for getting consideration to direct The Fast and the Furious 7.

The Fast and the Furious movie director Justin Lin is out of the race

Justin Lin first directed The Fast and the Furious: Tokyo Drift (2006) movie, a third installment to an already popular racing series that kept racing fans entertained beyond the quarter mile run.

The anticipation to watch these high adrenaline racing movies carried forward with Justin Lin directing a successful fourth Fast and Furious movie. Lin's direction intelligence raced Fast Five to huge blockbuster status, earning the racing/heist movie an impressive $600+ million in worldwide box office receipts.

According to several movie websites, Justin Lin is no longer a part of future Fast and Furious movies. After next month's mega The Fast and the Furious 6 movie is released on May 24, 2013 and catches box office fire, it is possible that Lucas Black will make a surprise return to Fast and Furious movies without Justin Lin directing his prized drift racer.

Breaking news: Justin Lin is leaving The Fast and the Furious movies. His last directing duties are completed, as the new Fast and Furious movie is only a month away from its box office release. There are no hard feelings in the departure because the breakup is not due to any budgetary constraints or on-screen explosions involving cast members.

Justin Lin shared that Universal Studios' plan to race out Fast Seven next year is too quick. He is quoted as saying that he can't put forth his best effort in such a quick turnaround. In every race, a crew must prepare to produce the most desired results.

When Fast Seven is ready to shoot, a new director will be taking over the next race. Thank Justin Lin for making 4 exciting Fast and Furious movies. We look forward to watching your The Fast and the Furious 6 movie.

Universal Studios will easily win the box office weekend May 24-26. It is possible the 6th Fast and Furious movie can reach the $100 million mark in its first weekend in release.

Thanks again Justin Lin. You are an awesome movie director that has helped Fast and Furious movies to become exciting action movies with the best racing cars and characters.

Lucas Black in Fast and Furious movies

Lucas Black is an actor in high demand. His racing services are requested in future Fast and Furious movies. We noticed the popularity of Lucas Black's Sean character. We also heard a possible The Fast and the Furious 6 ending spoiler featuring the Sean and Dom race in Japan. If this spoiler is true, then The Fast and the Furious 6 movie is Han's last stand. Lucas Black is a major impact character who is on the brink of major stardom. This current quest is to bring Lucas Black back.

It is rumored that lead actor Lucas Black of The Fast and the Furious : Tokyo Drift fame is set to return in a future The Fast and the Furious movie. We're sure Justin Lin and producers realized his demand. Why not pencil in Lucas Black to excite FF fans? It makes sense to reveal a shocking spoiler, such as showing Sean and Dom race in memory of Han.

Neela and Twinkie also need to reprise their Tokyo Drift roles. Although Tokyo Drift is the lowest earning movie of The Fast and the Furious movie franchise, the movie is now racing ahead of the pack. Sean carried Tokyo Drift on his back. He battled DK for racing supremacy. FF fans want Sean to join Dom's crew.

The plot thickens even further, as Letty has defied conventional plot standards to return as an antagonist. We go full circle with Brian letting Dom leave in The Fast and the Furious. Dom's reaction to Letty is expected to create high emotion. The anticipation of Dom and Letty meeting again is the major selling point in Fast 6. This scene is firing up the pistons, screeching the tires, and redlining the RPM gauge.

Sean emergence as a major character will make the end of another. Han is another high impact character. He returned to Fast and Furious movies after dying in Tokyo Drift. How is this possible? The Fast and the Furious movies fall into a complex plot order.

Until the Sean and Dom race happen, we are watching events, prior to Tokyo Drift, unfold into a high adrenaline ride. It's going to be wild this May 24, 2013. Will Sean reemerge in The Fast and the Furious 6 ending to create huge demand for The Fast and the Furious 7? We'll have to wait and see.

The Fast and the Furious 6 movie trailer: Universal Studios unveils The Fast and the Furious 6 movie to the world

Did you see the Superbowl commercial with the new The Fast and the Furious 6 movie due out this upcoming May 2012? As we cover The Fast and the Furious news, we missed the movie trailer. We would definitely like to review this FF 6 trailer to see what is in store for the upcoming May race.

We are disappointed the 49ers couldn't win the race in the end. They were at the goal line, only needing to complete the final segment of the game to win the race. The 49ers raced like Brian, whereas the Ravens assumed Dom's position. We really see the 49ers learning from their mistakes like Brian.
