How does Han die in Fast and the Furious: Tokyo Drift?

Han has emerged as a popular character in three Fast and the Furious movies. If another Fast and the Furious film is made to continue where Tokyo Drift leaves off, Han will not be a part of the racing action unless the storyline predates Tokyo Drift.

Question: How does Han die in Fast and the Furious: Tokyo Drift?

***Major Movie Ending Spoiler***

***Spoiler Alert***

Answer: After an intense car chase scene in downtown Tokyo, the antagonist D.K. shoots at Han while the two rivals face eye-to-eye in their high octane racing cars. Then, Han's car is pushed into traffic, which his car collides with another vehicle. Han's car elevates on top of the bow of another car, and then flips on its back side.

While the car is upside down, Han is trapped. He is severely injured (bloody face and incoherent). Sean and Neela attempt to rescue Han, but his car explodes into a fiery rumble. Thereafter, D.K. immediately flees the scene.

One of the most popular characters in the Fast and the Furious movie franchise is now dead. Han is a cool character that takes Sean under his wing to teach him the ropes. Hopefully Fast and the Furious 6 is a prequel. so that Han has a shot to return.

RIP Han.
