Fast and Furious in the political storm: Operation Fast and Furious

Operation Fast and Furious is a gun scandal creating a media frenzy. This political scandal reminds us of the Fast and Furious movie involving a border and drug operation. The Fast & Furious movie made a fortune in the movie box office, igniting another movie in the highly successful racing franchise. Operation Fast and Furious is a controversial gun surveillance operation that went AWOL.

According to LA Times, the missing guns in Operation Fast and Furious have resulted in many crimes, even the death of a border patrol agent. Operation Fast and Furious has that Fast and Furious movie story. How did Letty die in Fast and Furious? In Fast Five, Letty is revealed to be alive in Berlin, Germany.

Fast and Furious is making huge headlines. In media outlets, Attorney General Eric H. Holden Jr. seems to be scapegoat in the Operation Fast and Furious case. If you want to read about Operation Fast and Furious, do a "Fast and Furious" search in Google. The first story is an Operation Fast and Furious story next to the fourth Fast and Furious movie.

Fast and Furious is in the media, a movie about crossing the Mexican/American border with drugs. In this Operation Fast and Furious case, the real nightmare is releasing guns to criminal networks as a plan to track them. President Obama took the "executive privilege" to keep sensitive documents from the House (see story). Executive privilege is an exercise of power used to keep confidential documents concealed and away from the legislative branch such as the House and Senate.

The Fast and Furious case is like turning a blind eye to a case. We recently got robbed in Houston, Texas in April. In the robbery, most of our valuable possessions were stolen. One item has a tracking number, which the Houston police had overlooked as unimportant. Two months later, the Houston police never returned any calls or followed-up to any of our calls and fax documents.

Though our case is a small glitch on a social scale, the Houston police department is refusing to engage in a case with surveillance of the robbers stealing possessions, important documents, and intellectual property. Who are these criminals on the surveillance tape? Why are they allowed to continue robbing people?

Failing to investigate a major robbery is unethical and irresponsible. We realize investigations release the truth. In Operation Fast and Furious, House Rep. Issa and House representatives issued a contempt to Holden. President Obama was advised to take the executive privilege to withhold confidential documents.

Releasing documents can have severe implications on decision making. Who knows what really happened in Operation Fast and Furious? Were the potential risks discussed prior to releasing the guns? The story is shaping up to be like a movie, a Clear and Present Danger sort of political thriller.

Fast and Furious is the next big controversy. Fast and Furious movies is getting top name recognition in the media. Fire up your engines because the Fast and Furious race will be a must-see media event.
