Opening weekend is now expected at $135+ million. Furious 7 is on pace to become the top April movie release ever. Thursday night screenings amassed $15.8 million in ticket sales. Given this major debut, paired with huge Friday night showings of $55 million, Furious 7 is outdistancing all competitors to make its mega fast weekend to a race remember.

Unfortunately, Paul Walker passed away in a fiery car accident in Valencia, California in 2013. This tragedy stalled out Furious 7 until the studio, director James Wan, and the rest of the FF team could figure out the right path to take with Furious 7.

Based on the recent movie trailers, Furious 7 is ready to make a huge splash next weekend. When we say huge, we are talking about massive box office ticket sales. This Furious 7 movie will make big money in its first 3-days in release. Midnight showings will start the race off, carrying forward well into the weekend box office.

Major actors are starring in Furious 7. Kirk Russell and Jason Statham joined the Fast and Furious movie franchise. We suspect Lucas Black will reappear in Furious 7, adding another dimension to this complex plot line established in The Fast and the Furious: Tokyo Drift.
