Fast & Furious 6 is racing ahead of the movie box office

Fast & Furious 6 is one of the top movies opening this weekend. The positive reception the racing movie franchise received in Fast & Furious and Fast Five strengthened the Fast and Furious fan base. Universal Studios transformed Fast and Furious movies into one of the best movie franchises ever.

According to box office analysts, Fast & Furious sold $37 million in movie tickets on Friday night. As predicted months ago, Fast & Furious 6 will easily finish first in the box office race. We are watching a box office race that resembles Dom flipping Nos on Brian to win his first race against a rookie in The Fast and the Furious (2001).

12 years later, Vin Diesel and Paul Walker continue on their quest with a sixth Fast and Furious movie. Even more impressive is that Universal Studios is releasing Fast & Furious 7 next year with James Wan of Saw and Insidious fame expected to direct the massively popular racing movie franchise.

Justin Lin delivered four awesome Fast and Furious movies to us movie fans. The last three movies made Fast and Furious into a high grossing franchise. We expect Fast & Furious 6 to earn a whopping $110 million over the 4-day Memorial Day weekend.

Can we expect Lucas Black to make his return to Fast & Furious movies? Sean is the top topic of Fast and Furious right now. How much longer is Han going to stay with Fast and Furious? We know his fate in Tokyo Drift, so Fast & Furious 6 may enter this Han discussion very soon.

Fast & Furious 6 is well on pace to make above $100 million this weekend. It marks a huge boost for a sixth film, which resemble performances such as Harry Potter movies and Star Wars movies.

Fast & Furious 6 box office predictions:

Opening weekend: $110-117 million
