Fast Five's high octane ride scored huge box office ticket sales on Friday

May 1, 2011

Fast Five made double in box office ticket sales than the number 2-10 combined.

Justin Lin's Fast Five raced ahead of the Friday competition to generate $33,233,000 in box office ticket sales. The box office weekend is not over yet, so Fast Five's box office projections may surpass the $77 million the movie is expected to make after the weekend box office ticket sales are calculated.

Fast Five is a high octane, racing inspired movie with all the action any young crowd can hope to watch. Once the race car driving phase passed, only the Fast and the Furious movie franchise kept racers interested in the racing scene.

Any movie with Paul Walker, Vin Diesel, Tyrese, Dwayne Johnson, Jordana Brewster and the rest of the crew all packed into one punch will rev up moviegoers. The Fast and the Furious began its race into movie theaters back in 2001. Back then, the first movie made $41 million in box office ticket sales at a time in which Eddie Murphy's Dr. Dolitle 2 was expected to rise above the box office competition.

I haven't watched Fast Five yet. I expect the movie to be action packed. The Vin and Dwayne throwdown scene is worth the $10.50 admission alone. Vin never met his match in any Fast and the Furious movies. Fast Five will deliver the box office gold on Saturday and Sunday, adding to its already impressive $33,233,000 in box office ticket sales the movie collected on Friday night. If you want to enjoy an action packed weekend, race down to the theaters and watch Fast Five.
