The Fast and the Furious movies timeline

The Fast and the Furious movies have earned $1.5 billion in the worldwide box office. Millions of movie fans enjoy watching these racing and heist movies. Ever since 2001, The Fast and the Furious movies raced out to strong box office ticket sales. Most recently, Fast Five delivered a huge opening weekend with $85+ million. The most confusing aspect of The Fast and the Furious movies is the timeline.

The Fast and the Furious movies timeline is arranged in specific order to accommodate Han. Han is an FF character who debuted in The Fast and the Furious: Tokyo Drift. In the racing movie, Han dies in a car explosion. Moviegoers ask why Han is in Fast & Furious and Fast Five.

Han returns in Fast Five as a prequel design to his Tokyo Drift movie. FF fans demanded Han's services so much that tweaking the plot design enabled the filmmakers to accommodate the special request.

Want Han to return? We got it covered. Want to hear about Tokyo? Han mentioned Tokyo in Fast & Furious Five. Need confirmation to the plot timeline? Dom referred to Han in Tokyo Drift.

Letty is now returning to The Fast and the Furious 6. Apparently, Letty didn't died in Fast & Furious. Letty, Han, and Sean are widely popular FF characters. Dominic, Brian, Mia and the crew have entertained movie fans over a decade. We never thought Fast and Furious would reach six movies.

The Fast and the Furious movies timeline is arranged in the following order:

  • The Fast and the Furious
  • 2 Fast 2 Furious
  • Fast & Furious
  • Fast Five
  • The Fast and the Furious 6
  • The Fast and the Furious: Tokyo Drift
  • Furious 7
The Fast and the Furious movies reintegrate the highly popular Han character back into the movie plot. There is no ideal way to insert Han into the movies other than to create prequel movies.
